Veterans Support Service

A therapy space built by someone who’s walked the path. Military service leaves a lasting mark, one built on discipline, loyalty, and courage, but also often woven with silence, stress, and the weight of unspoken experiences. As a former U.S. Navy Electronics Technician (ETR) and qualified submariner. I understand the rhythm of military life: long stretches of isolation, pressure under silence, mission-first mindsets, and the unrelenting expectation to hold yourself together — no matter what. That culture builds resilience. But it can also make it hard to ask for help when the uniform comes off.

Counselling with a Shared Language

This space is designed specifically for veterans and uniformed service members. It's a space where you don’t have to explain the culture, defend your emotions, or translate your mindset. Here, your story is understood without judgment. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, loss of identity, difficulty reconnecting with family, or simply trying to figure out your place in the civilian world, you won’t have to start from zero

You’ve carried heavy things for long enough. It’s time you had a space to set some of that down.

Veteran Experiences I Understand and Support:

  • Transitioning to civilian identity and life after service
  • Navigating feelings of disconnection, hypervigilance, emotional numbing, or changes in social functioning
  • Managing cognitive fatigue, stress disorders, and mild to moderate mental health concerns such as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD and other post-service adjustment challenges
  • Addressing the impacts of moral injury, rumination, and accumulated stress — including both psychosomatic and physical symptoms
  • Rebuilding trust, intimacy, and communication in personal and family relationships
  • Reconnecting with a sense of purpose and personal direction beyond the uniform

What Makes This Approach Different

Practical insight, grounded in lived experience

My approach is informed by both the rigors of service and the realities of recovery. I offer more than just clinical tools. Shaped by firsthand experience navigating the mental toll of high-stress environments, the quiet weight of persistent low moods, and the physical and emotional strain that often shows up in the body.

I understand the overlap of anxiety, depressive patterns, moral stress, and psychosomatic symptoms—because I’ve felt them too. This dual lens allows me to meet veterans with both clinical guidance and hard-earned understanding.

Trauma-informed – creating safety, building trust, pacing work in a way that honours your resilience

Person-Centered and Narrative-Based – allowing your story to unfold without judgement, and helping you find meaning in where you've been

Cognitive and Rational-Emotive Tools – gently challenging stuck beliefs and thought patterns that may be holding you back

Practical, respectful, and collaborative – no forced vulnerability, no fixing — just honest, strategic reflectionYou won't be pathologised or treated like a problem to solve. You're a human being with a complex past and a future worth investing in.

You Are Not Alone - Lets Take The Next Step Together

I know how hard it can be to ask for support, especially when you’ve spent years as the one holding the line.

If something in you is ready to begin, even quietly, I’m here to listen. Reach out for a free consultation or to ask any questions you may have. No pressure to start or need to justify what you’ve been through. Just a space to talk, explore, and decide if this feels right for you - This is not about weakness.

It’s about reclaiming your direction, your peace of mind, and your connection to yourself and others
